and every single sound turned into words to pull us to the ground
"are you happy? are you satisfied now?" I don't know
if this is the thing I came here for, how would I know?

and when I kissed your tongue, I couldn't keep my hands from going numb
I'm sure eventually your water will succeed in drowning me
I'll swallow up the stream, and we'll both disappear just like a dream
